From Veterinary Medical Sciences to Veterinary School
My graduate education in Veterinary Medical Sciences provided a strong foundation in animal health, research, public health, population medicine, and evidence-based decision-making. Those experiences have prepared me for the next step in my career: veterinary school.
The Journey ahead
Graduate study broadened my understanding of veterinary medicine beyond individual patient care. Through coursework and research in infectious disease, public health, population health, animal behavior, shelter medicine, and nontraditional animal care, I developed a systems-based approach to animal health. Veterinary school will allow me to build on that foundation while developing the clinical knowledge and medical judgment required for practice.

Broad Foundation in Veterinary Medical Sciences
Graduate training provided experience in infectious disease management, population health, animal behavior, public health, animal welfare, nontraditional animal care, research, and evidence-based decision-making. Together, these disciplines strengthened my understanding of the many factors that influence animal health.
Research, Analysis & Professional Communication
Graduate coursework and capstone research strengthened my ability to evaluate scientific evidence, analyze complex problems, interpret regulations, communicate technical information, and develop practical recommendations. These skills will continue to support my education and future veterinary practice.
